Tip Jar

The most valuable thing you can do as a supporter of any or all of the crazy stuff I create is to let others know how much you are enjoying it.

Please take a moment to leave a comment or some praise of my work. It is greatly, greatly appreciated.

One of the main reasons why I love Marks work so so much is because it TAKES ME AWAY from my own reality that I live on a daily basis. Mark takes me away from the usual boring routines of my daily life. For me all of Marks work is like an AWESOME ESCAPE!!!!
Marks work is truly capturing, his work is such that inspires; that inspires creation, imagination, motivation and uniqueness of oneself.

I would recommend Mark’s amazing stories to anyone, any listener that needs an outlet, a laugh, a scare, a push for a new direction, an eye opening in LIFE!

    Truly extraordinary and amazing!

I can’t and never will be able to thank Mark enough!

    Big RIZ…
    YO, MAN, YO!!!! FOR LIFE!!!!

I enjoy Mark’s work very much. Number One With A Bullet was as entertaining a thriller as any by Vachss or Child.

The Shadow Falls trilogy is my favorite of his. Who to compare it too? Barker, King’s “The Stand”? It is uniquely Nemcoff’s and well worth the time. Jump on the wagon and take the ride!

And, like Big RIZ, Yo man, yo! Keep on rolling out the work.

I “discovered” MYN a few years back now and I have enjoyed all his work so far.
    Why?
    Well… for two main reasons:

    1. as a podcaster and storyteller he has a great voice and this is very important to me but…

    2. how good is voice is, it would be nothing though if the stories he writes were not well crafted but thankfully he is a brilliant writer.

Why do I say he is a brilliant writer?

Well… I have also two main reasons:

    1. he is able to write many different styles for a broad range of audiences, from mature adults to kid friendly stories. In fact I used his story Transistor Rodeo to run a lunch time club in my school and get kids interested in podcasting as well as story telling.

    2. I am an avid reader and tv watcher, so I often can “guess” where a story leads and it is very rare when an author can surprise me, MYN is such an author, he takes you down one path but then something in the story will happen which turns the whole story to a brand new direction and that’s one of the main reason of really enjoy his work as he still manages to surprise me and keep me guessing.

So all I have to say now is Yo Man Yo and thank you for so many of interesting commuting hours!

In August 2006 being a fan of mysteries I was looking for something different so I turned to Google to help me find something new, by using the simple search of “Suspense and Mystery” I was provided with a lengthy search result. However the top of the results was Shadow Falls and my introduction to Mark’s work.
I was interested with what I had found and this was also my introduction to podcasting. I was blown away with what I heard and loved the depth and scope of the story I knew I was hooked. I followed this to the end of the season and because it was so brilliantly written and produced I wanted more.
I wrote to Mark and told him how much I enjoyed his work, in less than a week later I was delighted and surprised to have a reply which was not just a one line automatic response but a passionate email thanking me and encouraging me to give my views and thoughts of the story. Here I am, a random unknown on the other side of the world but he made me fell welcome.
This is the biggest thing I like about what Mark creates and is an ongoing theme to any of his work, not only is it entertaining but as he encourages everyone who comes across his work to comment and question what is going on. I believe this gives us all a feeling of being apart of the story not just another number on a demographic.
What Mark has achieved is amazing, I see him more of a creator than a writer as the worlds he has created from his imagination has so much substance it is so easy feel you are there seeing what is going on around you than just reading or listening to it.
Thanks to randomly finding Shadow Falls I have had the honour to experience so much more from horror with Diary of a Mad Man to an action adventure of Number one with a Bullet. He proves he can be so diverse by even creating a family friendly adventure story like Transistor Rodeo which had such a reach that not only was there the usual listeners but there were class rooms across continents who were excited for the next instalment of the story. I do not believe there has been anything like it before where the author also wrote and recorded the full musical score to which the music was as much apart of the story this was able to enhance the experience so much.
From his collaborations like the comedy Pussy the musical with Mike Yusi and his video show What I Learned This Week, all the way to introducing me to amazing music and Musicians like [MUNK] and his songs “Blow Away” on N1B or “I Am” on Shadow Falls Season 1. For the past 4 years Mark has made me laugh, cry and even be scared of the dark, I am proud to call myself a Shadow Falls resident, a Bullet Head or even an extended member of the listening family and owner of his books. Not only am I excited by his work but I am excited to see what he will create next.

Mark’s work is unlike most other content on the internet. He understand the fundamentals of story telling, the mechanics of writing and recording, and weaves a compelling, tight, and engaging tale. Hes a breath of professionalism in the middle of a sea of mediocrity.

He has a gift for conveying complex scenes in a clear and concise manner that doesn’t sound like he is straining himself or the story to paint the picture. This is polished work written, performed, and produced by someone that knows the craft.

What really sets Mark apart and keeps me coming back for more is the breadth his works cover – hes not stuck in a single genre. His works spans techno thrillers like “Transistor Rodeo”, a buddy telling you stories at the bar like “Where’s my **cking Latte”, a psychological mind bender like “Diary of a Mad Man”, or a balls to the wall take no prisoners popcornfest like “Number One with a Bullet”. Regardless of the genre, you’ll know its a tightly written, well told, and professionally produced story that deserves a place on the library shelf right next to anything released by Audible.com or Books on Tape.

MYN is an author that should grace the bookshelf of any die-hard horror or thriller fiction addict. Whether you read his books or listen to his audio novels, he’ll grab you by your balls and won’t let go until he sent you through a dark, bloody and hellish rollercoaster ride.

And when you finally escape his icy grip, you’ll be lucky to just be battered and bruised from the nightmarish journey… But at the same time, he’ll have you begging for more.

When I say that mark is an excellent story teller, people ask me if I mean that he writes a good story or does a good job reading/telling it, The answer is both. Whether it’s how he builds the characters in his latest creation, “Shadow Falls: Angel of Death” or how he gives them voices, he certainly knows how to entertain.

If I have any reservations about his works, it’s that he did such a good job with “Diary of a Madman” that I’m afraid to ask if it really is fiction.
