Because it’s much easier to catch little things in a manuscript that need to be changed when you hear yourself read it aloud, I decided that it really wouldn’t require much more effort to just turn on my VO rig and just “perform” my upcoming urban fantasy series INFINITY.

Now, that being said… I’m still not sure what I’m going to do with the audio version of INFINITY. I’m still contemplating several different scenarios. I think the likelihood of it being released as a free podcast is slim. Right now, I’m leaning toward releasing it as a paid downloadable audiobook, probably right around the same time that the ebook comes out… maybe even sooner. I’m also thinking that the ebook versions will include a few extra scenes not in the audiobook version… just to make it more interesting… but we’ll see.  Maybe, I’ll release a couple of chapters for free just as a teaser…

First, let me get through the material and see how I feel about it. So far, it’s sounding really good though…

I went to email the Angel of Death draft-in-progress to myself and saw the file size came out to 666K… is this a sign of things to come?

Previously on Angel of Death: After getting Nena and Galen to a safehouse way outside of the city, The Freak goes back to retrieve the artifact, the petrified eyeball, he inadvertently left behind in their rush to escape attack. Meanwhile, Galen’s insistence to know the truth brings Nena to reveal two important details of Galen’s previous existence. The eyeball in question used to be his and a book given to her by a man named Mathers inexplicably details the events of their past lives from 150 years ago–a book titled BADLANDS.

Previously on Angel of Death: Galen Altos wakes in a tenement apartment where he meets his long lost sister, Nena. Someone who he hadn’t seen for over 150 years or possibly several lifetimes. Welcome to the first SHADOW FALLS: ANGEL OF DEATH episode commentary. I know its early in the game but I try to give you a bit more background into what you should expect plus I talk about the 699 day delay in launching a SF3 and answer your questions about PCH and my health among other things. LOL. Mostly, though it’s time to just shake the rust off and have some fun again.

And as I talk about here in this half hour gabfest, you don’t need to have heard Shadow Falls: Season One or Badlands to follow the action here in Angel of Death.

As mentioned in this commentary, a song you should own if only to get a better understanding of one of the dramatic themes in ANGEL OF DEATH.

And the way I’m writing this book, you don’t have to have heard Season One or Badlands first to jump right into the action… but if you have, you’ll just enjoy it all the more.

At least that’s the plan.

When I say Shadow Falls 3 will launch soon, I do mean soon. In the next few days I’ll announce the actual name of the book along with a launch date. My intention is to pick a day and time each week and release each new episode then like clockwork.

I will be doing something differently though. Each episode/installment of SF3 will be released without the usual post-episode commentary. That doesn’t mean I won’t be doing commentary but what I’m planning is to release the episode as a single mp3 file and then release the commentary separately as another. This way if you just want to subscribe to the story without the commentary, you can. Also, this way I can keep the size of each episode small enough (>20mb) so that you can download it wirelessly from iTunes.

I’m also considering doing another regular audio-only podcast… about what I’m not going to say yet but let me get through the launch of SF3 first before I go further down the road with that. I will tell you that it will not be PCH nor will it be like PCH.

So SF3 is coming… stay tuned for details. Trust me when I say that if you liked the first two installments of Shadow Falls, then SF3 is gonna melt your face.
