FINALLY… someone asks the big question..

I’m actually planning a fairly detailed blog post about the relationship of INFINITY to the AOD Chronicles books that should answer all of your questions… (and perhaps inspire some new ones).

However, to answer your “Nemesis” question… the mention about the Church of Infinity was just my way of planting that seed of familiarity early. Nemesis and INFINITY aren’t related in any way, the mention is just really an easter egg of sorts in the same way the mention of the “incident at the Grand Tropic hotel” in “Diary of a Madman” is a call back to said event from “The Doomsday Club” and the occasional moment where someone in one of my books has a headache and reaches for a bottle of “Binafan”, a Tylenol-like over-the-counter painkiller first introduced in “The Art of Surfacing”.

That being said, I’ll detail the real in-depth relationship between INFINITY and Badlands/Angel of Death/Diary of a Madman soon. I think you’ll get a real kick out of how the puzzle pieces all fit together… and what obvious pieces have not been revealed yet.

I was going to ask if Ranajee was an anagram like some of the names in other stories but my playing with it leads me to think not. Unless I’m missing an obvious word from the minimal amount of useable letters.

I was also wondering if this is part of your Angel of Death Chronicles? It seems to me way back when we were treading down that story path that you said this work would be part of it, but I cannot remember for sure.

Again, well done. I am having a blast playing with your stories and putting them inside of a timeline and in the same “world”. Having just come across your story Nemesis and having one of the characters go on a Church of Infinity rant had me, at first, enjoying it on a humorous level as one of the Rev. MYN speeches. Now, coming across the church in your new story I am playing with it on a new, deeper level as well.

Could you take a minute and talk about this story as it fits in the world of AOD Chronicles? If it does. And also remind us of how the other stories fit? I hope I’m not the only one interested in these thoughts and it doesn’t make for a waste of your time.

My last question refers back to Nemesis. Can we place the mentioned church in that story with the church detailed inside of Infinity?
