i do remember beepers, those were the days were pirating music was putting a mic to the radio and hitting the record button. I had a beeper once but it wasnt hooked up
shadow self kinda reminds me of dexter’s “dark passenger” and dexters struggle to not listen to it.
“Consciousnesses-eses!” I still love that wyrd.
Beepers, rotary phones permanently attached to the wall, televisions with dial knobs that went to 13 or some such number and what I call furniture stereo since I don’t know how they are categorized. The old giant wood cabinets with the turntable in it speakers on each end and sliding doors revealing storage for LPs.
I did not walk up hill both ways, barefoot to school though.
