I love it when, as a writer, you dream up something that somehow comes to life in the real world… but not exactly like this. A case of coincidence?

Dear Mark,

I’m a big fan of yours and I also live in L.A. I’m a bit familiar with the area you described in Diary of a Madman where our killer dumped the body of the hooker so you can imagine my surprise when I saw this news story of a body recently dumped in the SAME EXACT PLACE.

Are you a suspect?

So it just occurred to me that the very same weekend you said you were in Las Vegas, there was a fire of unknown origin at one of the hotels on the strip… ummm… kind of like in your book “Doomsday Club”. I’m attaching a link to the story. Are you sure you didn’t set the Monte Carlo on fire? If so, it’s one hell of a publicity stunt.
